 With a strong commitment to junior development, Lake Macquarie Yacht Club provides both professional tuition through experienced instruction and appropriate racing opportunities for it's junior members.
The learn to sail classes for Sabots start at 9.00am on Sunday mornings and run for approximately 3 hours which provides the students with an opportunity to understand the theory and practical application of sailing with our new coach Riley Clement, who is well known to club members. Riley gained his sailing experience coming through the junior ranks, sailing in Pelicans and Cherubs. The emphasis for the program is on fun and safety with lots of social interaction with other students. Students are properly supervised and parent participation is encouraged. Classes run from the beginning of October through to the end of March. Cost is $160 for a full season or $10 per session.
