Whilst
it is obvious to anyone who visits beautiful Lake Macquarie
they are enjoying a special part of Australia, there are
a few points which may not be so obvious -

Harbour and is many times less crowded

winds, Lake Macquarie provides the perfect conditions
for the serious business of yacht racing and regattas
- There is ocean access for yachts
drawing up to two metres and easy land access
for trailable boats of all kinds
- Lake Macquarie provides some
of the best cruising grounds and safest all-weather
anchorages on the east coast
- Lake Macquarie is not burdened
with commercial shipping
- Lake Macquarie has regular NE
sea breezes in summer
