Not content to enjoy the ambience of the club? You might prefer to spend your time competing on one of the east coast's most beautiful lakes. With experienced, trained race organisers, plenty of gear and equipment, and a busy racing schedule year round, you will always have something to do at Lake Macquarie Yacht Club.

Winter racing starts in early June, then each Sunday until early August (no racing on the June long weekend).

All races are non-spinnaker events with a handicap start.

Each race is a sweepstake race with prizes awarded each week. A winter point score event is conducted in conjunction with the sweepstake. Sign on for each race at the bar.

Competitive point score racing is available through both summer and winter at Lake Macquarie Yacht Club.

These races are conducted under Category 7 and are sailed in four mixed fleet divisions, as well as a non-spinnaker division and a strong one design fleet of International Etchells.

For competitors' convenience, race results are updated each week by Lake Macquarie Yacht Club staff using 'TopYacht' and posted on this website.

Mid-week non-spinnaker racing is held year round starting at 3.00pm (2.30pm in winter). Contact the club for further details.

The very popular Twilight Series, starts at 6.00pm during daylight saving time and is a one division, non-spinnaker race. A must for competitors and spectators alike. Take your place on the deck and unwind from a hectic week amongst friends as you watch the colourful spectacle taking place in front of you on Belmont Bay.

An offshore division and offshore program is run during summer under Category 4. Contact the club for further information.
